Take-home Wine and Cheese Pairing

This is the first of a new series of take-home pairings and we're really excited to get it started! It's going to allow us all to explore new wines (or beers!) and cheeses in a much more casual manner. You'll pay for the pairing online, then swing by the shop on Friday and pick up your bottle and 2 quarter pounds of cheese that we've paired with it. Take it home, and enjoy!

For our first pairing, we've chosen a left-bank Bordeaux from Medoc and paired it with two very different cheeses that will play well off of each other. The first is caramelly, sweet Vlaskass Gouda, and the second is Barricato al Pepe, a semi-firm Italian cow's milk cheese crusted with peppercorns then aged in red wine casks. The Bordeaux together with the two cheeses will make for a great experience for 2-4 people. Cheers!
