Green Dirt Sneak Peak! Delivery 7/25

Sneak peak of the new cheeses from Green Dirt Farms! Justin just came back from the Kansas City area where he visited the small sheep farm and creamery Green Dirt Farm. Green Dirt is an ACS gold medal winner as well as winning gold medals at the Good Food Awards. We are hosting a virtual tasting of 6 of their cheeses next Friday the 31st- one of these cheeses will be there and one is for this delivery only!

The first cheese is their fresh sheep's cheese with garlic and peppercorns. This cheese is soft and spreadable, bright and tangy, with a modest amount of garlic and whole peppercorns. Spread it on a bagel, toast, crackers, roasted eggplant or other veggies- you get the picture.

The second cheese is called Prairie Tomme. This is a sheep's milk tomme modeled after a cheese from Croatia. This cheese is semi soft, with nutty, earthy, cave-y notes. We think this cheese will be a new favorite 'round these parts.

We've made a couple of jams (you know how we jam) just to go with these two! One is savory, one is sweet, and they each go with either cheese!

The first is a tomato-onion chutney w/ red curry. This is the savory one- vegetal, herbacious and a little spice.

The second is pineapple w/ mustard seed (like a mostarda). This is sweet and tastes of fresh pineapple w/ a hint of the mustard seed. Again, this goes with either/or/both cheeses. Play with your food!!!

We're delivering to Denton and immediate surroundings (Corinth, Argyle, Krum etc). If you know you're out of range you are more than welcome to pick it up (just enter "pick up" for your address). Our drivers will deliver between 4 and 7 pm. Cost does not include a tip to your driver, who accepts Venmo and cash. Any and all tips go directly to them. Stay healthy Denton!
