Pairing Event Details
This is a three course beer and cheese pairing, delivered to you by our laid-off bartender friends. All tips plus a portion of sales go to them. Order here and they will deliver to you between 4 and 7 pm on Saturday 4/25. We're keeping deliveries as close to Denton as possible. If you're unsure about our range, please give us a call. You are also welcome to pick it up if you are outside of range.
We've paired up with our friends at Denton County Brewing Company for this event! You buy the cheese and we'll provide the beer!
The first course is: Ocotillo, a saison-esque beer made with an indigenous TX yeast strain. It is light, citrusy, and with a little peppercorn spice. We are pairing this with a mixed milk cheese from Spain. Campo de Montalban is essentially made in the style of Manchego but is made from cow, sheep, and goat's milk.
The second course is: 8 ft. Leprechaun, a strong Irish Red. It is light bodied and easy drinking with a caramel/toasty malt profile but it weighs in at 8% ABV!! We'll be pairing this with our new Gruyere Antique. This Gruyere is bright and fruity with big oniony/nutty tones.
Third course: Costa Rican Cascara, a scotch ale with Costa Rican Coffee. This is an amber colored beer, with fruity, acidic coffee notes (not overly roasty). We paired this with Imperial Buck, a four year aged cheddar from WI. It is sharp, nutty, and sweet.
